2006 9-3 1.8t lpg converted
diagram is the set-up as should be
mine has missing reinforcing strut & L shaped plate on rear n/side
i have the parts but how would it be attached to the n/side chassis without access to upper chassis area as it appears there is a deranged captive nut in there slightly offset (where red arrow is in pic)

diagram is the set-up as should be

( crush tube )as it appears there is a deranged captive nut in there slightly offset (where RHS red arrow is in pic)
n:side area

it looks as though access would need to be had to the top of the chassis which would entail a lot of work

I had thought we might be able to
Drill through it then weld some threaded bar so it’s sticks out the hole then put a nut on?

Which at least would keep trailing arm stable and if the stud was long enough could also take the missing L shaped plate (which is in the parts box) ie with 2 lock nuts

1 to pinch up to the chassis and then the spacer with second nut to tighten but then we would have no crush tube (if there was one present originally)

then thought perhaps we could insert a studded lip section as below but all ventures require i think access to the upper area of the chassis with the probable problems of other nut shearing etc etc
