Places Visited

Dave and M-C sailed LC up from Poole in July 2016 with a brief visit to Guernsey en route.  Our destination was Whitehaven where she has spent the summer.

August saw her sail up to Scotland.  She visited her port of registration in Campbeltown before heading on to Arran and Lochranza.  From here she headed around the Mull of Kintyre and on to Ballycastle in Northern Ireland.  A perfect location to visit the Giants Causeway and heritage coast.  It was a three country distillery tour with whisky being savoured in Keswick, Campbeltown, Arran and Bushmills.

At the end of September she started on her sail south to the Canaries for the start of the ARC.  She called into Liverpool to see family, paused for storms to pass in Hollyhead and Milford Haven before a gentle crossing across Biscay to A Coruna.  Here there was a change of crew and she set off again down the Spanish and Portuguese coast.  Porto gave an opportunity to sample their port, Madeira to compare their madeira and then it was across to the Canaries and into Las Palmas.

She is due to set sail across the Atlantic on 20th November.
